April 11, 2019

Bones & Bunnies Manuka Honey & Peanut butter Dog Cookies

Ingredients:

2 cups whole wheat flour*
1 1/5 tsp baking powder
1/3 cup smooth peanut butter
1 cup hot water
1 tsp Nature's Gold MGO 30 Manuka Honey
1/2 tsp cinnamon

Method:

Preheat the oven to 180 C and line a large cookie sheet with baking paper.

Combine the flour and baking powder in a large bowl.

Add the peanut butter and hot water, stir until mixed together, sprinkle with the cinnamon and drizzle with the honey, mix lightly.  If the dough is too sticky, add a little more flour.

On a floured surface, knead the dough slightly until it comes together into a ball, and roll it out to about a half an inch in thickness.  Cut into shapes using whatever cookie cutters you like.  Arrange onto the lined cookie sheet.

Bake for 15 mins or until firm and golden.  Store in an airtight container when cooled.

*If your furry friend can not have wheat flour try replacing with buckwheat flour.
You may also like to brush lightly with a little honey and sprinkling the top of the cookies with Sesame seeds before baking, as they are a great source of protein, and contain anti-oxidants and Omega 6.
